Year round bird activity makes this home appropriately named "The Swallows." Many call The Swallows "A little piece of heaven", and it is!
The Swallows is located at the end of a quiet little street on the northwest end of Yachats. The house is just one block from seven miles of sandy beach to the north. To the south is the beginning of the historic 804 Trail that meanders along the coastline with breathtaking views of waves crashing on rocks and scenic sunsets. You can walk the trail all of the way into town which in total is about a half hour walk - one way. Stop off along the trail to the Adobe for a meal in their oceanfront restaurant.
"We LOVED The Swallows! It's immediately clear that the owners want their guests to feel perfectly at home. Our favorite things by far: the view of the ocean (framed by trees), the garden with birds & bunnies, the gas fireplace, and Nikki's accessibility and focus on our comfort. We loved the easy accessibility of the trails - within less than a block, you can get to the 804 trail and walk into town (a 30 minute stroll) or down a quick jaunt to the ocean itself. On a rainy day, enjoy a walk along the 804 Trail and then come home to snuggle in front of the cozy gas fireplace. Curl up with a book from the bookshelf, or enjoy a puzzle or game provided for your pleasure. If you're a Duck or Beaver fan, you can even grab a game on the television.
We love dogs and gladly welcome yours, though we do ask that you pick up after them and keep them off the furniture and blankets. Dog towels are provided for you as well.

(Peak rates apply for New Year's, Spring Break, Thanksgiving Break, Christmas Break, Veterans Day Weekend, Presidents' Day Weekend, and MLK Weekend.)

Housekeeping - $115 plus tax
Dog friendly - 2 dog limit - $100 plus tax - If you plan to leave your dog(s) unattended, please only do so if you bring a dog crate to house them in while you are gone.

"We LOVED hiking the 804 Trail to the end, both north and south--watching birds, collecting special stones, as well as many other adventures on the craggy coast and forest trails. After each day's explorations, we happily returned to "The Swallows" for cheer and reflection.
