Ocean Bay Cottage is right in town so you can walk everywhere, including at least four different eateries that are less than three blocks away, as well as groceries, fun shops and the Yachats Commons. The Yachats Area Chamber of Commerce/Visitor Center is right next to the grocery store, so stop in for a chat about local attractions. The Yachats area is plentiful with scenic areas and hiking trails to enjoy.  

PLEASE NOTE: WE PROVIDE FREDDY'S (UNSCENTED) LAUNDRY DETERGENT SHEETS FOR THE WASHING MACHINE.  PLEASE DO NOT BRING  YOUR OWN LIQUID LAUNDRY DETERGENT AND INSTEAD USE WHAT IS PROVIDED. THE AREA THAT THE WASHING MACHINE IS IN IS CARPETED AND WE HAVE HAD SPILLS WITH LIQIUD DETERGENT THAT HAS BLEACHED THE CARPET IN THE PAST THEREFORE WE HAD TO REPLACE THE CARPET.  ALSO, NO BLEACH IS ALLOWED IN THE COTTAGE.

While we do not “build in”  trip protection to the cost of your reservation, we strongly recommend that you purchase it through an outside intermediary company.  We understand that things come up or happen that may interfere with your travel plans.  These things generally include injury or illness as well as weather conditions.  Unless there is a state of emergency or roads to get to our area are impassable, we cannot offer any refund less than 30 days of arrival.  You can google “trip protection” to view a list of companies that offer various plans.  Depending on the cost of your reservation, these plans are generally less than $100.00.
